Design Development
If not already started, the design will be placed on to CAD software where it can be shaped into a design that meets the client's criteria. At the midway point in this process, drawings can be sent to prospective general contractors for preliminary pricing. This allows the client to see if the design is in "the ballpark" of the budget. If so, this phase may be finished and then moved on to the construction drawing phase.
